Sutton's Local Offer

Sutton’s Local Offer provides information on the education, health and social care support services available in the borough for children, young people and adults (aged 0-25 years old) with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Sutton Parents Forum

The Sutton Parents Carers Forum is run by parents of children who have a disability or additional need for these parents, primarily to make sure that  collective difficulties are recognised by the London Borough of Sutton, and that they  have a voice within the Local Authority to effectively inform decisions about resources, services and policies which will directly affect your children.

SIASS

SIASS provides free impartial, confidential and accurate information, advice and support about education, health and social care for children, young people and their parents/ carers.

SEND Code of Practice

The SEND Code of Practice is the statutory guidance for organisations which work with and support children and young people who have special educational needs or disabilities.

IPSEA

IPSEA offers free and independent legally based information, advice and support to help get the right education for children and young people with all kinds of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

National Autistic Society (Sutton Branch)

The Sutton branch of the National Autistic Society (NAS) run entirely by unpaid volunteers, many of whom have are parents / carers of autistic children.NAS branches in England provide a local hub where parents, carers and autistic people can get help, access services, support each other and meet other people and families in similar situations.

Sutton Carers Centre

Sutton Carers Centre have groups which provide mutual peer support, information sharing and an opportunity to meet with people who may have similar experiences.

Special Needs Jungle

Special Needs Jungle creates easy to understand resources, articles and information for parents and carers of children with special needs, disabilities and health conditions to better enable them to navigate the special needs system.

Young Minds

Young Minds offer free, confidential online and telephone support, including information and advice, to any adult worried about the emotional problems, behaviour or mental health of a child or young person up to the age of 25.

British Dyslexia Association 

The BDA is the voice of dyslexic people. Our vision is that of a dyslexia friendly society that enables dyslexic people to reach their potential.

I CAN

I CAN is the charity that helps children with speech and language difficulties across the UK. The charity works to create a society where their special needs are recognised, understood and met, so that they have the same opportunities in life as other children.

National Deaf Children's Society

The National Deaf Children’s Society is the only UK charity solely dedicated to providing support, information and advice for deaf children and young people, their families and professionals working with them.

Hypermobility Syndrome Association 

Hypermobility Syndrome Association provides specific information for children and their parents to help families who often just don’t know where to turn. We run specialist family programmes, where families can learn together how best to manage the many symptoms relating to hypermobility, gain confidence and ask any questions they may have.
